1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Local Tenders platform ("Platform", "Service", "Website") operated by Local Tenders Limited ("Local Tenders", "we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms
• You agree to be bound by these Terms in full

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility & Geographic Scope

The Platform is available only to:

• UK-based users
• Businesses and sole traders operating in the United Kingdom

We reserve the right to refuse access where eligibility requirements are not met.

3. Platform Role

Local Tenders operates as a neutral online marketplace only.

• We are not a party to any agreement between contractors and clients
• We do not supervise, control, or guarantee services
• We do not verify the quality, legality, or suitability of any work carried out

All contracts, communications, payments, and disputes occur directly between users.

4. User Types

The Platform supports:

• Contractors: paid subscribers with publicly visible profiles
• Clients: users requesting or engaging in tenders
• General visitors: unregistered users browsing the Platform

Different features and obligations apply depending on user type.

5. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
• Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

6. Contractor Obligations

Contractors agree that:

• All information provided is accurate and not misleading
• They hold all required licences, insurance, and accreditations
• They comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• They keep information up to date at all times

Local Tenders does not actively verify compliance but reserves the right to request evidence at any time.

7. Public Contractor Profiles

Contractor profiles are publicly visible and indexed by search engines.

By creating a contractor account, you agree that the following may be displayed publicly:

• Business name
• Full business address
• Phone number and email address
• Insurance details
• Services offered
• Accreditations and certifications
• Profile descriptions and images

Local Tenders is not responsible for misuse of publicly available information by third parties.

8. Client Obligations

Clients agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent tenders
• Harass, abuse, or threaten contractors
• Circumvent or misuse the Platform

Clients may contact contractors outside the Platform once introductions have occurred.

9. Subscriptions, Payments & Renewals

Contractor access is provided on a paid subscription basis, monthly or annually.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe
• Local Tenders does not store payment card details
• Refunds are provided at our discretion only

Where an account is suspended or terminated for breach, fees are forfeited.

10. No Guarantee of Work or Visibility

Use of the Platform does not guarantee:

• Work
• Enquiries
• Leads
• Visibility
• Rankings
• Commercial outcomes

Rankings, visibility, and features may change at any time.

11. Content, Messaging & Uploads

Users may upload images, documents, and other content.

By uploading content, you:

• Confirm you have the right to do so
• Grant Local Tenders a licence to display and store it

We reserve the right to monitor, remove, or restrict content at our discretion.

12. Platform Changes

We may:

• Modify features, rankings, visibility, or pricing
• Suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform
• Introduce new functionality or limits

No compensation is payable for such changes.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts immediately where:

• These Terms are breached
• Information is misleading
• Complaints or misuse arise
• Legal or regulatory risks are identified

Users may request account termination at any time.

Upon termination:

• Access ends immediately
• Public profiles are removed
• Data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy

14. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, software, branding, and design remain the property of Local Tenders Limited.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Platform without permission.

15. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available".

We make no warranties regarding:

• Availability
• Accuracy
• Suitability
• Outcomes

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Tenders is not liable for:

• Contractor performance
• Client behaviour or payment
• Disputes or losses
• Loss of profits, data, or business
• Any indirect or consequential damages

17. Marketing & Brand Use

You grant Local Tenders permission to:

• Display your business name and logo
• Reference your business in marketing or promotional material

This does not imply endorsement.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
